Flexfit Hat Size Chart: Published Ranges by Size Label
By Fitness Hats Editorial Team · Published
Flexfit hats are sold by size label (S/M, L/XL and so on), not by one fixed number. Each label covers a range, and the stretch band is meant to cover the gap between sizes. Pick the label whose range contains your head measurement, then check the specific listing before ordering.
One limit applies to everything below. The sources fetched for this draft are retailer pages, not Flexfit's own chart. The ranges are copied as those pages publish them. Confirm them against the brand's chart for the exact style you want. The figures mirror the data file data/size-charts/flexfit.json.
Flexfit size ranges by label
Crazy Kat Outfitters publishes a Yupoong (Flexfit) section on its hat sizing page. It gives circumference in inches, with the matching hat size beside it. The page does not give centimeters.
| Label | Head circumference (inches, as published) | Hat size (as published) | Source | |---|---|---|---| | XS/S | 20 3/4 to 21 1/2 | 6 5/8 to 6 7/8 | Crazy Kat Outfitters | | S/M | 21 1/8 to 22 3/8 | 6 7/8 to 7 1/8 | Crazy Kat Outfitters | | L/XL | 22 3/8 to 23 5/8 | 7 1/8 to 7 5/8 | Crazy Kat Outfitters | | XL/XXL | 23 1/8 to 24 3/8 | 7 3/8 to 7 7/8 | Crazy Kat Outfitters | | Youth | Approximately 20 to 21 | 6 3/8 to 6 7/8 | Crazy Kat Outfitters |
The ranges in the same published list overlap. XS/S ends at 21 1/2 while S/M starts at 21 1/8. XL/XXL starts at 23 1/8 while L/XL ends at 23 5/8. The page does not say which label to choose inside an overlap. It does say to round up if you are between sizes on Flexfit and fitted caps, to avoid a tight fit.
How much the band stretches
The same page describes the Flexfit sweatband as stretchable elastic with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of give. It does not say whether that figure differs by label or style. Treat it as a general note, not a guarantee for each hat.
Branded Flexfit hats can publish their own ranges
Some retailers sell Flexfit-style hats under their own brand and publish their own ranges. The Rogue FlexFit Hat listing gives two options, quoted here as published:
- S/M: 6.75" to to 7.25" (the page repeats the word "to")
- L/XL: 7.125" to 7.625"
These figures apply to that one product. They are hat sizes written in inches, and they are not identical to the S/M and L/XL ranges in the table above. The same label can map to different numbers on different listings, so read each size note.
Big sizes
BigHeadCaps lists Flexfit caps in larger sizes. The page states that Flexfit caps fit over 2 sizes because of the stretch material and inside band. It also says the back is closed, with no opening, to accommodate the stretch band. The ranges are:
| Style | Label | Range (as published) | Source | |---|---|---|---| | Delta Flexfit | 2/3XL | 7.75 - 8.125 | BigHeadCaps | | Delta Flexfit | 4/5XL | 8.125 to 9 | BigHeadCaps | | Classic Flexfit and ProMesh Flexfit | 2XL (XL/2XL) | 7.5 to 8 | BigHeadCaps | | Classic Flexfit and ProMesh Flexfit | 4XL (XXXL/XXXXL) | 8 to 8.5 | BigHeadCaps |
The BigHeadCaps page does not name the unit for these values. It also does not say how much the stretch band opens.
What to check before ordering
- Measure your head. Crazy Kat Outfitters says to place a flexible tape about 0.5 inches (1 cm) above the eyebrows and ears, where the sweatband sits. Keep it straight and untwisted, and snug but not tight.
- Measure two or three times. The same page says to average the results if they vary.
- Match the number to a label. Use the table above, then read the size note on the exact listing. Style families such as Delta, Classic and ProMesh can carry different ranges.
- If you land in an overlap or between labels, the source advice is to round up.
- Check the unit. The ranges above are published in inches, or without a stated unit. If your tape reads in centimeters, convert your reading to inches before matching it to a range.
Use the hat size chart and calculator to turn your measurement into a hat size. The printable head measuring tape helps if you do not have a soft tape.
What the sources do not cover
- Flexfit's own published chart. None was among the pages fetched, so the ranges above come from retailers.
- Centimeter ranges. The pages publish inches or unlabeled numbers only.
- How tight or loose any label feels on a real head. No chart states it, so use your own measurement.
- How the stretch band changes by style, or whether the overlapping ranges are intentional.
- Whether a given style is currently offered in every label.
