A result means the chart lists a size for that head. It is the brand's label, not a measurement of any hat. Need your number? Print the calibrated head tape. Not sure where the tape goes? See how to measure your head.

Only charts a brand publishes on its own site are used, copied as printed. Brands that publish no head-size chart for their caps are named on the hat size chart and every published row is in the downloadable CSV. We have not yet measured the inside of any hat, so no hat is recommended here.

Frequently asked questions

Which brand makes the biggest hat size?

Of the 33 charts we checked, Lamood Big Hats Size chart reaches furthest: its 9 1/4 is listed for a head of 29 to 29 1/4 in, 73.2 to 74.1 cm. That is the chart's own wording, read on October 4, 2026.

How do I know a hat will fit a big head?

Start with your measurement, then pick a chart that lists a size covering it, not one that merely tops out nearby. A chart tells you the head a size is cut for. It does not tell you the crown depth, how stiff the band is, or how far a strap opens, which is what we measure on the hats themselves (see how we measure).

What if my head is between two sizes on a chart?

Where a brand says which way to go, follow it. Where it does not, the tool shows the two published sizes on either side and does not guess for you.
